Towards the end of last year, I was in-between jobs. For those who have gone through a similar period - its a really strange time. The mind went all over the place - new job anxiety was creeping in. I thought it would be cool to record how I was feeling and be able to watch it back in a years time. Rather - have it emailed to me. There were multiple ways I could have achieved this. however, I thought it would be a great idea to build a website to digitise how I was feeling. The website is: https://www.capsules.today/ Ive now been using the app in other settings...granted not that often - but its been fun. Each a private video ill get sent in a year - and I dont need to scroll through my phone to find it / be reminded of it. Each video is me talking to the camera purposefully - which is slightly different than the iPhone memories I get in my phone. last thing Ive found. - It feels strangely powerful to talk into a camera without looking for validation in the post on social media. It's my own private video diary. Im hoping it can be used for people at different stages of life...and acts a sort of release. AND hopefully in a years time you're proud / open to be reflective of where you are now. Anyway - its always good to get feedback. I have put a small price on the app because cloud storage isnt free!
